I’ve come to terms with the realization that I’m not going to be a super model.
I’m a wife, mother and grandmother in her 50’s who loves to cook and really enjoys a great bottle of wine. I exercise most days and I strive to eat healthy most of the time, but I’ll be honest, I might pee a little when I do jumping jacks and a lot of me still jiggles when I finish that jumping jack and I’ve come to terms with that. I am fit-ish and really happy.
Just a couple short years ago I was taking a lot of medications (I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, hashimoto’s disease, and had a total Hysterectomy in my 30’s so on hormone replacement pills as well). I was tired, depressed, stressed, and totally unhappy with myself and the direction my life was headed.
That was then.
Now I am feeling great, my medication count is less than half what it was, I have energy throughout my day, my physical activity level is 100% more and I am happy.
I still love to cook and try new recipes every week, I still drink wine when I want to, and I do eat pizza when I feel like it.
So what is different?
I found a fitness system that works for me with my schedule and my fitness level (what ever it is at the time). I found a way of eating that supports my fit-ish lifestyle and fuels my body with good, healthy food most of the time (remember that pizza I mentioned…).
